We introduced the Idaho Lottery brand in 1989 with the launch of its first game and over our 20-year tenure as agency of record, we’re proud to say the Idaho Lottery returned $402.3 million in dividends to Idaho Public Schools and the Permanent Building Fund.
During our tenure we created the iconic “Ball” character and we consistently produced a variety of strategic marketing for many exciting Idaho Lottery products. Our work for the Idaho Lottery spans all mediums and has been recognized and awarded locally, regionally, nationally and by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).
Since its inception in 1989, the mountain-range-of-cash motif of the Idaho Lottery logo had become one of the more recognizable and beloved graphic design hallmarks of our great state. But for the Idaho Lottery’s 20th anniversary in 2009, the logo was in need of a refresh. To ensure the graphic integrity of the brand and the identity, a style guide was established with considerations for color palette and logo usage. In an attempt to describe the feeling you get when you play, the solution presented itself as an onomatopoeic word “Wooh!” A family of characters was introduced to add a more personal and humorous touch to the “Wooh!” brand. “Wooh!” continues to be a cornerstone graphic element and tag for the Idaho Lottery.
