CBH Homes and ABC Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

The initial phase of the CBH PR plan called for the promotion of CBH’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build. Outreach for Extreme circulated through local and regional media outlets. At the same time, the plan described how to create intrigue for future home buyers and how to create pride in current CBH home owners.
The Drake Cooper PR team worked with the shop’s account planning, creative and web divisions to employ a variety of tactics from posting online news and construction updates, blogging and streaming video to creating an online photo gallery (which was updated daily) and even organizing an online fundraising drive which raised more than $25,000 for the family that was going to receive the home.
Our efforts paid off. The event was covered by print and broadcast media, locally and regionally; throughout the event, netting more than 25 feature placements that included or highlighted CBH’s involvement. We also helped raise almost $50,000 in cash for the Stockdale family.
